What this is
A playable fan mini-game, right on this page — mechanics straight from this guide: oxygen burns faster with depth (the O₂ ledger), catch only counts when banked at the boat, and the 8-slot bag slows you when full. The risk loop IS Dave's daily life: how deep is your call; making it back is also your call.
Three rules
O₂ ledger
Deeper = faster burn: 1x at 0-10m, ~2.2x at 40m, 3.4x at 80m. Surface refills automatically.
Banking
Catch converts to savings only at the boat. Blackout mid-run = everything unbanked is lost.
Deep threats
Random sharks below 30m (bite half your bag); jellyfish sting -8 O₂. 6+ fish slows your swim.
Pier best runs (Day-3 snapshot · for fun)
| Diver | Banked | Note |
|---|---|---|
| @early_bird_buyer | $1,847 | Risotto crew: farms 45-55m, six big fish per round trip |
| @outer_wall_enjoyer | $1,203 | A visiting VHOLUME player: below 60m all game, "the top is too cheap" |
| @refuses_to_queue | $966 | Banks every 3 fish: cowardly, but the savings only go up |
Controls
Desktop: WASD / arrows · P pause · R restart. Mobile: drag to swim. Free to play.
Mechanic origin: the O₂ ledger in the Beginner Guide and the depth pricing in the Fish Codex — the guide plays the game; the game plays the guide.
